Terms of use and sale
Last updated: 26 October 2026
These terms govern the use of Bossiko and the purchase of its plans. By creating an account you accept them, and with them the data processing agreement in section 10. We've written them to be understood; if anything isn't clear, write to us at contact@bossiko.com.
1. Who provides the service
Bossiko is provided by Basalt Works (“we”). You can write to us at contact@bossiko.com. Legal notice
2. What Bossiko is
An online service where a business or a professional hires artificial intelligence employees (AI agents with a role, tools and a way of working), gives them work and reviews what they deliver. It's used from the browser, with nothing to install.
It's meant to be used for a professional or business activity. To create an account you must be of legal age and act on your own behalf or on behalf of the business you represent. If you buy it as a consumer, you also have the rights the law gives you, which these terms don't limit.
3. Your account
You sign in with your Google account. You're responsible for what's done from your account and for keeping it secure; if you think someone has got in without permission, let us know straight away. An account can have one or more companies, depending on the plan, and each has its own office, kept apart from the rest.
4. The free trial of Essential
When you create your account you get a free trial of Essential, with no card and no commitment: a small amount of AI usage, once, enough for the first interview and a few jobs. It doesn't renew: when it runs out, you need to choose a plan for the team to keep working.
There's one trial per person. If we see accounts opened to repeat it, we may limit or close them. We may change the trial or stop offering it to new accounts; whatever we've already given you stands.
During the trial we may review, internally and only to improve the product, your business's sector and your first jobs. More in the privacy policy
5. Plans, AI usage and top-ups
Plans are monthly. Each one sets how many companies and AI employees you can have, how much AI usage it includes each month and how much file storage each company gets. Prices and what each plan includes are on the website, shown without VAT.
AI usage is shown as the share of the plan you've used this month (for example, “34%”). When it runs out, the team does no new AI work until the next month, unless you buy a usage top-up or move up a plan. Top-ups are paid once, are only used once the month's usage runs out and expire 12 months after purchase. You can also add extra storage for a company's files, monthly.
The office plans’ working hours and the Customer service plan’s conversations are estimates, not a commitment: how far usage goes depends on the work you request and your customers’ enquiries.
We may change prices or what plans include. If it affects you, we'll tell you at least 30 days in advance and it will apply from the next renewal; if you don't agree, you can cancel before then.
6. Payments and invoices
Purchases are made through Polar (Polar Software, Inc.), which acts as the merchant of record: it resells the service, charges you, applies any taxes due, such as VAT, and issues your invoice. Its buyer terms also apply to the purchase; these terms apply to the use of Bossiko. Polar's buyer terms
Plans and extra storage renew automatically every month with the same payment method until you cancel. If a payment fails, we'll let you know and you'll have a few days to sort it out; if it isn't sorted, the team stops doing new AI work, but your data stays where it was.
Your payment details are handled by Polar and its payment processors: we don't see or store them.
7. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel whenever you like, with no lock-in or penalty, from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for: until then you keep your plan, and after that it doesn't renew.
We don't refund part of a month that has already started, or AI usage or top-ups you haven't used, except where the law requires it or the service couldn't be provided because of us. Refunds are processed by Polar, under its buyer terms.
If you're a consumer in the European Union, you can withdraw from the purchase within 14 calendar days without giving a reason. Since the service starts as soon as you pay, by buying you expressly ask for it to start straight away: if you withdraw within that period, you only pay the proportional part of the service you've received up to then, and you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully provided. To withdraw, write to us at contact@bossiko.com.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, with prior notice unless the breach is serious or urgent. If we stop offering Bossiko, we'll tell you at least 30 days in advance, refund the paid part you can't use and let you download your data.
8. Acceptable use
You may not use Bossiko for:
- illegal activities or content, including anything that infringes others' rights (intellectual property, data protection, reputation or image);
- sending spam or marketing messages to people who haven't asked for them;
- impersonating other people or businesses, deceiving people, or passing off what the AI does as human where the law requires you to say so;
- content that harms minors or incites hatred or violence;
- trying to get into other people's offices or data, getting around your plan's limits, or attacking, overloading or probing the service for flaws without our permission (if you find one, tell us at contact@bossiko.com);
- reselling the service without an agreement with us.
What you upload and what you ask for is your responsibility, and you must have the right to use it (for example, your customers' personal data).
9. AI employees can make mistakes
Bossiko's employees are artificial intelligence systems. They cite their sources and ask when they're missing information, but they can make mistakes or give incomplete or out-of-date information. What they deliver is work for you to review, not professional advice: on tax, legal, employment or security matters, check with your accountant, your lawyer or another professional before deciding.
Nothing important leaves the office without your approval: the employees don't send emails or messages to other people on your behalf. Whatever goes out, you send it or approve it, and it's up to you to review it first.
You can use what they create for you (text, documents, images) in your business. Bear in mind that AI-generated work may not be protected by copyright and may resemble other people's work: check it before using it as a brand or registering it.
10. Your data
Your business's data is yours, and you can download each company's data from your account whenever you like. How we handle personal data is explained in the privacy policy. Privacy
For the personal data about other people that you put into your office (your customers, suppliers or staff), you are the controller and we act as processor: we process it only to provide the service and on your instructions. How we do it (the security measures, the sub-processors, how we help you and what happens to the data when the service ends) is governed by the data processing agreement (Article 28 GDPR), which is part of these terms: by accepting them, you accept it too. Data processing agreement
11. Availability
Bossiko is a new product that improves every week. We do our best to keep it running and make encrypted backups every hour, but we don't guarantee it will be available without interruptions or errors, and we don't offer a service level agreement (SLA). There may be maintenance stops, and the employees, their tools and the AI models they use may change to improve. We also rely on providers (hosting, AI models, Google, payments), and a failure on their side can affect the service.
12. Liability
We're liable for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and for anything the law doesn't allow us to limit. Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, we're not liable for lost profits, lost business or indirect damage, or for what you do with the AI employees' work without reviewing it, and our total liability to you is limited to what you've paid us in the 12 months before the event that causes it. If you're a consumer, these limits don't take away the rights the law gives you.
13. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for example when the service or the law changes. If the change is significant, we'll tell you by email or in your office at least 30 days in advance, and if you don't agree, you can cancel before it applies. The date at the top says when they last changed.
14. Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If a disagreement comes up, write to us first and we'll try to sort it out. If that's not possible, it will be settled by the courts of the service provider's place of residence; if you're a consumer, by those of yours.
15. Contact
For any question about these terms, your account or your payments, write to us at contact@bossiko.com. For charges, invoices and refunds you can also contact Polar.
